Founded in 1981, Fulcro Insurance is a Hispanic-owned brokerage firm with offices in Puerto Rico, Florida, Georgia, and the Dominican Republic.

Founded on July 21, 1981 as First Insurance Group, Inc., a Hispanic (100% Puerto Rican) owned insurance broker.
1985
Willis Towers Watson, the world's 3rd largest insurance broker, appoints us as its Puerto Rico Retail Network Member.
1987
Organization of our Claims, Construction, Personal Risks, Loss Control & Employee Benefits Practices.
1989
First acquisition of insurance producer, Víctor Méndez Cortés.
1996
Became the PR exclusive representative of the Professional Liability Agents Network,a nationwide organization of insurance producers with professional liability insurance expertise.

Acquires 25% of the 3rd largest insurance brokerage firm in the DR - Manuel O. Matos, Brea & Associate.
2001
Obtain the Highest Rating in the broker evaluation process conducted by the Treasury Department of the Government of PR under its Governmental Insurance & Risk Management Program.
2008
First Insurance Group, Inc. re-brands itself as Fulcro Insurance.
2008
Health Educator added to our team with the initiation of our in-house Wellness Programs.
2009
Initiated our US mainland expansion with the creation of Fulcro Insurance of Georgia, LLC.
2009
Received the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce’s Zenit Award for the Insurance Sector.
2010
The Puerto Rico Products Association grants Fulcro an Excellence in Quality-of-Service Award.
2012
Begins our partnership with Globex International Group, an international employee benefits, insurance & risk management consulting firm for brokers.
2013
Acquired the Core Insurance Brokers, Inc. portfolio & two new Partners joined the firm. With this acquisition, we enhanced our Construction Risks & Surety Practices' capabilities.
2014
Continued US expansion with the opening of a Branch Office in Orlando, Florida.
2014
We became Arthur J Gallagher & Co.’s preferred partner in PR - the fourth largest Risk Management & Insurance Broker in the world.

Added Claims Concierge Services & hired our in-house Loss Control Director.
2019
Fulcro of GA entered into partnership with Gallagher Connect Partners, an inclusive, collaborative insurance broker & consultant network—expands carrier relationships, global industry knowledge & world-class innovation.

Expanded Risk Management services with our in-house CPA, ESQ, RM Director.

ProAccess launch - our user-friendly, convenient online portal is created for our US clients.
2023
The Puerto Rican firm Luis Juarbe Seguros y Fianzas merged with insurance brokerage firm Fulcro Insurance.

Fulcro and The Fiducial Adviser, a Puerto Rican firm specializing in financial and investment management, merged to form Fulcro Fiducial.
2025
Fulcro evolves as a holding brand, following the completion of three major mergers that unified Fulcro Insurance, Fulcro People, and Fulcro Fiducial under one integrated Fulcro platform.
Fulcro launched Fulcro People by merging its Benefits Practice with Retention Strategies, a full-service firm with significant expertise in employee benefits and human resources.
